Lucas Gassel (1490-1570) was a 16th-century Dutch painter.

He practiced in Helmond from 1500, then in Brussels and Antwerp. Karel Van Mander, a German art historian, said he was a very good landscape painter, but produced little. Dominique Lampson devoted an article to him in his book on the Netherlands. Very few details are known about the artist's life.

He mainly painted landscapes, but also religious subjects, notably from the Old Testament, such as David and Bathsheba.
