The life of Marcel Cosson

Marcel Cosson was born in Bordeaux in 1878. After training as an artist, Marcel Cosson began his career by exhibiting at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1903. His works, representative of Post-Impressionism, were already enjoying success. 

A few years later, Marcel Cosson specialized in landscapes, scenes of daily life and still lifes. He also often deals with opera, ballet and circus subjects. The artist loved depicting Parisian life. 

Over the years, he took part in numerous exhibitions in France and abroad, notably in New York and London. His reputation grew and his works sold at ever-increasing prices. Marcel Cosson died in Paris in 1956. His fame left an important mark on the history of art.
