Josette Hébert-Coëffin (1907 - 1973) was an artist born in Rouen.


She studied sculpture at the Beaux-Arts in her home town, in Alphonse Guilloux's studio. She received numerous awards from various institutions, which enabled her to collaborate with the manufacturenationale de Sèvres. Unfortunately, some of her works were destroyed during the bombing raids of March 1942.

His reputation grew after the war, and the artist received a number of public commissions, including one from President Auriol.

At the same time, Josette Hébert-Coëffin became interested in engraving. For many years, she created medals for the Monnaie de Paris, including the 1968 Winter Olympics medal and the Jean Cocteau medal.
