Émile Bracquemond's career    

Émile Louis Bracquemond (1889 - 1970) came from a family of artists: his uncle, Félix Bracquemond, was an accepted and sought-after medallist. He was also the grandfather of Agnès Bracquemond, also a sculptor.

Little is known about his life, including the sculptors he trained with and where he studied. At one point in his career, he collaborated with the Manufacture de Sèvres.

His work is echoed by sculptors of the same period, such as Paul Jouve, who made extensive use of the panther figure.
