The life of Pierre Guariche
Pierre Guariche is a French interior designer born in 1926.
Born in Bois-Colombes, he graduated from ENSAD, where he trained with René Gabriel, then François Gascoin.
He took part in the Atelier de Recherches Plastiques from 1953 to 1957. At the same time, he designed various lighting fixtures and furniture, including his Cerf-Volant luminaire. He responds to numerous requests, including the Créteil Court, the Prefecture and the Essonne General Council.
His work soon met with great success, and he received numerous commissions and sold his furniture through publishers. Today, there is no studio with a monopoly on marketing his work.
He died in Bandol in 1995, aged 69.
