Founded in 1965 by parents of young patients and carers, Vaincre la Mucoviscidose, which is recognised as a public utility, is the leading private funder of cystic fibrosis research in France.

Vaincre la Mucoviscidose is strong of all the men and women who have mobilised themselves since its creation in 1965, to make things happen, to discover the gene of the disease, and to launch research projects on which there is a real hope of cure. Today, more than 400 volunteers assume an associative responsibility (members of the statutory council or territorial delegation, organiser of Virades de l'Espoir, etc.), accompanied by paid professionals. 30,000 occasional volunteers come to lend us a hand each year, especially during the Virades de l'espoir on the last weekend of September.
